Rodney is a native to Costa Rica and brings a wealth of experience to IFSA-Butler. Most recently, he was a Program Director for Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he collaborated with a wide range of faculty and students to build and manage programs and relationships.
Among his previous roles, Rodney also worked with Duke University/Organization for Tropical Studies, both in North Carolina and on site in Costa Rica. He has experience developing and managing programs in countries as varied as Cuba, Tanzania and Turkey, and he has been active at UNC in a number of efforts, including the Study Abroad Diversity Committee.
Rodney holds a Master of Science in conservation biology and sustainable development from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science with a minor in French from Worcester State University in Massachusetts.
